PRICES & QUOTATIONS:
All prices quoted are Ex-Warehouse and inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Delivery charges are not included. We make every effort to make sure that the prices shown are correct at the time of publication but if an error is shown to be made we or you may cancel the contract in relation to some or all of the goods on order.

PLACING ORDERS & PAYMENTS:
You can place your order either online or by phoning 0800 756 2413. Upon confirmation payment can be by credit card, bank draft, or personal cheque. When the order is ready for delivery we will ring you three to four days prior to despatch to confirm the day and approximate time of delivery at which time you can pay any balance prior to receiving the goods. You card will then be debited for the agreed amount.

DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS : – for orders placed by telephone, fax or internet
In the unlikely event that you find our furniture unsuitable we have a 30 day money back guarantee on all our products. Simply email us with your order details and please have items in original wrappings and boxes. This pick up will incur a collection charge and upon receipt of the goods into our warehouse , and subject to them being in satisfactory and resalable condition, you will then be entitled to a refund from us, which will be paid as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 [thirty] days. Cancellation of orders may also incur a restocking fee. Please note that the refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment i.e. a credit or debit card.
Due to hygiene regulations we cannot refund on mattresses that have been used. A used mattress will be charged for as per our standard rate with delivery charge and will negate any special offers regarding the same. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

WARRANTY AND RETURNS:
All products offered for sale on this website come with a full 12 month warranty. We cannot offer this guarantee on goods that have been tampered with or on bespoke furniture orders. Any product with a manufacturing fault will be replaced on a like for like basis only. No credit will be given and no alternative product will be supplied. We reserve the right to reject any “faulty” product if we consider the complaint to be unreasonable, unjustified, or of the customer’s negligence or making. These guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear; neglect; abuse or misuse of your goods; loss or damage through whatever causation, e.g. sunlight, weather, rusting, excess exposure to heating, infestation via animals or boring insects, accidental damage , etc. The supplier’s liability is restricted to the value of replacement goods only and we will not be held liable for any consequential losses. Should a product no longer be available it will be replaced with a product that closely matches it. Home assembly items cannot be returned if construction has being attempted or completed but we will send any replacement parts for any piece that may be damaged

We will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered goods over and above the value of those goods. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

DELIVERY:
Due to the handcrafted production process of our furniture all delivery dates are approximate at time of ordering. We hold a lot of stock but delivery times can be up to 10 weeks if out of stock.If the items are in stock, obviously delivery will be faster. All our prices are quoted Ex-Warehouse in Liverpool and customers can pick up from our warehouse after booking in the order number. If however, the customer cannot pick up we can arrange delivery by a specialist furniture carrier on the customers behalf. All quotes for delivery are issued on a part load basis, and are dependent on the carrier’s schedule in the customer’s area, this can vary from 2-6 weeks depending on the schedule of the carrier. We, or the carrier will contact you prior to despatch to confirm a suitable delivery day. All dimensions are ‘working area sizes’ and it is the customers responsibility to ensure that the consignment can gain access to the premises and the space where it is intended for. It is very important to check the measurements of all access areas e.g. doorways, hallways, stairs, stairwells, and ceiling heights etc. As the furniture is handmade all measurements are approximate and can vary by up to 1-2cm. When you place your order you must inform us of any access restrictions or circumstances which may prevent successful delivery being completed. We are unable to refund orders which cannot be delivered due to restricted access or the items not fitting the room. A delivery charge will be incurred in the event of goods being returned to us due to access areas being too narrow etc. Delivery will be to the ground floor doorstep of the address, however you may request the driver to move the products to an alternative location within the house at your own risk. This is done entirely on the instructions and at the risk of the buyer and the carriers are under no obligation to do so. Part loads can be considered but may incur extra delivery charges. The customer shall be required to sign the delivery note on delivery in acknowledgement of the receipt of goods. Claims for shortages or damaged goods shall be recorded at delivery if possible and no later than within three days of receipt of the goods. Your statutory rights are unaffected. All goods remain the property of Island Furniture Co until paid for in full.

FURNITURE MANUFACTURERS DISCLAIMER:
All our furniture is handmade from solid woods. Some of our wood is reclaimed, so there will be slight inconsistencies in grain and colour and will include knots and indents which will not usually be filled out . This is the natural effect of the ageing process of the wood and adds to the unique character of each piece. Avoid putting solid woods directly beside radiators or other sources of direct heat as it may cause excess drying in the wood and may lead to cracking. Damp or dehumidified environments can also lead to cracking and must be avoided. In the construction of most of our beds we use floating panels which are designed to move. In extreme cases the leading edge of the panel may expose the raw wood ( in overheated or dry environments) , in this case an easy remedy is just to apply some stain which we can provide. This is not a manufacturing fault. Sometimes joint separations may appear such as fine lines at point of joint contact , again this is not a manufacturing fault but a natural reaction to the wood settling. This can be remedied by applying touch up paint which we can supply.  We make every effect to ensure that the products we supply match as closely as possible to the samples shown on line or in brochures but there may be slight variations in colour appearance due to different reproductions through printing, photographic or internet mediums. We cannot accept responsibility if the colour shown on your browser is not exact to the true colour of the furniture. All dimensions are accurate at time of listing but we reserve the right to amend dimensions, colours, or terms of sale as we constantly seek to improve and upgrade our range. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

HANDMADE PRODUCTS

For our upholstered and made by hand products , small imperfections / differences in shape, size and colour can happen and are part of the charm of a handmade product. This part of the handmade process is what makes our products unique and should not be seen as a fault. They will never affect the overall aesthetic of the product and its ability for use as intended.

MATTRESSES AND UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE:
All our mattresses and upholstered furniture conform to BS7177: 1996. For comfort and reliability, mattresses should be turned regularly. Due to hygiene and health regulations we cannot accept return of a used mattress or used upholstered furniture. A used mattress will be charged for as per our standard price list and will negate any special offers regarding the same . This also applies to upholstered furniture. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
